  The basics were met but the place is in need of decorating and some tlc. It was clean but dusty and dirty windows. The sofa was not comfortable neither was the bed. Nothing in the way of comfort. The kitchen was well equipped. The bedding did need to be updated and tatty throws on it. It was clean but very worn. The outside of the Barn looked needs a lick of paint like the outside door needs repainting and general tidy. In the area there is one restaurant/ pub but gets fully booked quickly even in " out of season". The book left by the owners had some good tips in it. On the whole the stay was OK but think priced bit high for what you got. No " welcome " note and just a cheap tiny packet of biscuits which we ' left' behind . With care and and refurb it could be lovely but did not meet any of our hopes on your( website expectations) . Don't normally leave a review like this but it needs to be said. The whole experience was no where near the 3 star it was given. Even 2 would be a stretch. There are some nice days out happily weather held. Not somewhere I would want to stay if you didn't go sightseeing not enough comfort in the Barn. Shame really with care it could go to being a good place to stay. Also the television channels were limited, only 2 dvds to choose from and no WiFi. ).

  Mrs J Fielding .. 26th June - 3rd July 2021 Had a lovely stay at Lavender Cottage. The cottage was very clean and cosy, and had a nice private patio area to sit and relax in after a long day! The bedrooms were quite spacious, but please be careful of the ceiling where it slopes, its really easy to bang your head especially if your tall. Outside the property there was parking for two cars, which was a real bonus, with some properties you only get one .. great when there's four of you and two cars. The cottage is in a great location, pleanty of walks for the dog, a lovely pub (great food) and corner cafe shop down the road which are both dog friendly, and the beach is a good 10 minute walk down the road, it is a pebble beach, but you can take dogs on it .. Stanley loved it. Overall, we had a great stay at Lavender Cottage, it had everything to make our holiday a good one, we even received a welcome pack on arrival, which was a nice surprise. We will definitely be back at Lavender Cottage again soon. Thank you!

  Enjoyable stay in Coach House Cottage at the end of September with our dog. Ten minutes walk to the coast and lovely walks around and about including over to Sheringham and getting the Poppy Line train back to Weybourne station. We found the area quite dog friendly which was lovely, with cafes etc happy to accept a well behaved dog on the premises - especially useful with the changing weather! An added bonus for us was that for four nights we were treated to a wonderful display of the Milky Way as Weybourne is in the Dark Skies area. The Ship Inn - 2 minutes walk away - does a fabulous Sunday lunch but you need to book in advance....even before you arrive! Our stay was end of September/early October! Evening meals are also served some evenings - again booking essential. The village shop opposite is well stocked and also serves teas/coffees/ breakfast and snacks.

  Cottage was comfortable and in easy access for bus service and a reasonable walk to beach. We were surprised at owners’ reaction to the problem we had with TV in lounge. We were unable to get it working and when reported to Original Cottages we received a speedy reaction. Next day we had text message to tell us owners advised we read the full instructions in the guide. That was the first thing we did and followed several times, without success. It was only when a friend visited and he ran his finger under the front of the TV and found a button to press it worked. Suggest this made clear in the instructions. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay.

  In such a lovely location, has everything you need, we loved the wood burner which kept us cosy in the evening, which is why after having a 3 night stay in March we chose to stay for 7 nights on this occasion..Sheringham a lovely seaside town just few mins away, Weybourne beach 10mins walk from Lavendar cottage. The Ship inn 2 mins walk away where you get a lovely meal, sadly because my partner and I arrived with a virus, we had to cancel our booking. There is also a lovely friendly cafe/small shop in the village, so what more could you ask for.. A pretty location, everyone very friendly, and Lavendar cottage an ideal stay…
