What our customers say about their holidays
Jacqueline - Verified booking
Myself and my husband went for a short break.
The accommodation had everything you need for this. Lots of cooking equipment but no instructions how to use any of it ( we did not use anyway). We took teatowels, soap, shampoo, etc but, this is all provided, even though not listed on itinerary. The description of the accommodation was accurate but nothing to say about steep climb up from road if you are walking. The area itself is beautiful, green an lush, went on some lovely walks but again, a lot of ascending inclines. The farm has a menagerie of animals who all come to say hello, particularly Sylvie the cat and mabel, a new foundland, both indulging in having a fuss. Ceri is lovely, willing to help with anything and full of information about the area. We purchased pork pies from her which were amazing- we bought some home too, along with some goat burgers. Could do with a list of produce and prices left in accommodation as they do not have an actual shop. Tha accommodation is quite compact but enough for 2 people. The shower room/ toilet is right next to bed and you cannot open door properly to get into it. We reported the outside lights not working which Ceri came to look at same morning. The hot tub we only managed to use once because of weather, it was great to ease weary bones but, could do with shelter overhead to enable more use. We had not tried this kind of holiday before but would definitely recommend, would like stay in a cottage next time though. Overall, had a lovely few days in beautiful area.

We enjoyed a wonderful week in stepaside and the lodge was perfectly positioned for us to take in all that the local area had to offer.
We loved the short trail from the site down to Wiseman's beach and being so close to Saundersfoot and Tenby. We also found that we could explore the local area by car with everything we needed just a short ride from the lodge. The lodge itself was great, as an adult sharing the twin 'kids' room, it wasn't ideal but that wasn't a fault of the lodge but rather my own personal circumstances. The lodge was clean, the shower was lovely and powerful, the kitchen had everything we needed and the oven was spotless. The only negative I can report was with the double doors that opened onto the balcony. They stuck every time I had to close them, I got the knack after a day or so but it was an irritation and I'm sure something that could be easily sorted. We are returning next September so I would hope to see this addressed. The fact that we are returning to this lodge is I hope testament to how much we enjoyed our stay. I must also add that our host Stuart couldn't have been more welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay, thanks Stuart

Fantastic location, not far from NT Stackpole estate and fantastic walks, Manorbier castle and Tenby. Freshwater East beach was v windy, but if you walk to the very far end there are some lovely sheltered sandy sections around low tide. Cottage was comfortable and well equipped, large smart TV, decent shower, quiet and clean. But I couldn’t get the heater to work, it lacked oven gloves and a bath mat, and all the chests of drawers smelt musty inside so couldn’t unpack clothes. Was still being cleaned when I arrived and I couldn’t get in until after 4pm when it was supposed to be ready by 3pm. I would still consider staying here again though for the location.

We had a lovely stay in Elan!
It was very idyllic and a beautiful setting with lovely views of the Welsh hills. One thing to flag to other dog owners is that the property on a working farm and in a field which cows and sheep graze in. This wasnât a problem for us and we enjoyed having the livestock so close. Although the property is enclosed with a fence, small & medium dogs can easily get through the part of the fence that separates the hut from the rest of the field - this could be resolved by continuing the chicken wire fencing along here. This wasnât a problem for us but more of a flag for people with prey driven dogs. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return!!

Just returned from three nights at Jules@79.
Booked very last minute so choice was limited but we were lucky to find a little gem here. Lodge was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. It was perfectly situated on the edge of the park with lovely views from the decking. Stuart who takes care of the lodge kept in touch with us regularly and was kind enough to bring the check in time forward a little for us. The park is beautifully kept, very peaceful with lovely walks for our dog. Tenby and Saundersfoot are both within easy reach. Iâd have no hesitation in recommending the park and in particular this lodge.
