  A really lovely apartment.

  Very well kitted out with almost everything we could have wished for. Set in a lovely location, with parking. The Pub restaurant below was only a little noisy on perhaps 2 evenings over the course of the week, and that was only until 11pm. Other than that it was very peaceful and we were left to our own devices. The owners Cameron and Dionne left us a few goodies upon arrival too which was an unexpected bonus. The most outstanding bit for us was the quality of the food (and service) that they serve in the pub, truly excellent! We ate there 3 times and it could have easily been all 7 nights! Everything from Pizza and chips (probably the best pizza I've ever had) to luxury fish pie and steaks, all homemade with the meat coming from a butcher in the village. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed considering it is a first floor apartment directly above a pub restaurant!! Great value to be had here too as they're not being greedy with there prices. We'd happily return again and recommend it to our friends and family. Very pleased!!!

  Wow! What a wonderful holiday we had here.

  The apartment is absolute luxury, everything high quality, no expense spared. The owners Cameron and Dionne have put a lot of love and thought into this beautiful place. Everything was there that we needed and made sure that we were comfortable during the incredibly hot weather we had on our stay. So spacious and absolutely spotlessly clean! We were made to feel so welcome by everyone, the lovely staff and the locals, our hosts were wonderful and amazing cooks, we ate at the pub almost every night it was that good! Nothing was too much trouble, I cannot rate them highly enough. We shall definitely be back, its too good not to! Set in a beautiful, peaceful village which is an ideal base to visit many of the lovely places all around it within easy reach. A week was definitely not enough time to be there, so much more we want to do. This place is a hidden gem and I am so glad we discovered it, I actually want to live there

  The apartment was spotless and so comfortable with high end furniture and equipment … the recliner chair and sofa with USB ports are a dream … I’ll be looking out for those next time I need a new sofa at home!

  The pub downstairs serves very good food 5 days a week, so no need to cook much if you don’t want to, but if you do the kitchen is pretty well equipped. The Wi-fi is not the best - it’s on the the pub’s open network, so not secure. We found that our device security had real problems with this and kept cutting us out. We would have liked a Hoover or dustpan and brush to be able to cleanup at the end, but judging by how pristine it was when we arrived, it is well cleaned between lets. The apartment is a good base for exploring. There are a number of NT properties within a half hour drive and some beautiful market towns and villages … and of course York. If you wish to stay in there are delightful views of the village green and pond from both the sitting room and the bedroom. It was cosy and spacious at the same time. We recommend this apartment.

  The apartment was spotless on arrival.

  Prior to our stay we had booked a table online for the pub but this was cancelled due to an error with the system. They had an outside catering contract. I wasn't particularly happy at this news as we had selected this accommodation for its attachment to a very good pub with food which meant we didn't have to drive everywhere. When we arrived not only did we have a lovely welcome pack of wine and snacks but by way of apology provided a gift card to put towards a meal later in the week. The bed is super comfy and there is plenty of storage for clothes. Nice double shower. Comfy recliner sofas and having a smart TV to access netflix was great. Good location for exploring York and Harrogate and the coast. Lovely quiet village overlooking the duck pond. It's definitely a great place to stay for a couple

  Nice little place and a lovely location.

  Fairly expensive for the space that you got but as one of the cheaper cottages, perhaps this is the going rate! However it was very clean, clearly well looked after and had lots of cleaning stuff available in the current situation, and some really nice touches left by the owners which were really appreciated and above and beyond. Owners were lovely when said hello. Bathroom was decent although if we were taller we might have struggled with the shower with the sloping roof - my husband only just fit at 5'10". Kitchen was well equipped despite no oven. TV had decent amount of channels and WiFi worked. Lots of towels etc. Would be good to have instructions on what to do with the keys when leaving as we weren't sure. Overall a very pleasant stay and enjoyed good food in Boroughbridge.
