  I knew the minute we pulled up on the drive this cottage was going to be special and it was! A real home from home, with everything you need. We loved the upside down living. The balcony was a real bonus and the amazing views of the Cheviots, Bamburgh Castle and the coast. The location was so peaceful, quiet and a very special place. I was very sad to leave and hope to return soon. We had a very wonderful week and the weather was amazing. Northumberland never disappoints. The welcome basket contained items that had been locally sourced, and were also delicious! The dog hamper was a nice touch. It was also a nice touch that the owner of the property, Nigel, gave us a call on the evening of our arrival to make sure we were happy with Farne View and to check that everything was okay. I think your booking system is seamless and to be honest there is nothing to improve on. Also, when I have spoken on the phone all the staff seem lovely.

  Excellent dog friendly property with an enclosed garden and everything you might require for a home from home break. The location was good with lots to do on the doorstep. It is in a busy location so would say it is best to book restaurants ahead of time. Cleanliness was excellent and the owner was extremely helpful. We were impressed with Coquet Cottages and their attention to detail, such as in providing an app link with all you need to know in advance. It had a lovely large enclosed garden making it really dog friendly. It was in a good location, spacious, and well presented with all home from home amenities. Coquet Cottages had thought of everything, as well as a pre visit phone call to make sure we had received all the info we needed.

  One of the best cottages we have ever stayed in! Farne View is an unusual and amazing cottage. It is one of four units in a granary conversion about a mile inland from Bamburgh. It is upside down – bedrooms on the ground floor, living space (with balcony) on the upper floor. Farne View is situated on the Bamburgh end of the building with spectacular views on the upper floor of the castle and The Farne Islands. The conversion and the fitting outs have been done to a very high standard – everything we needed was there. The cottage is very comfortable and peaceful. We were there during Storm Babet and felt very secure. We recommend it without reservation and would stay there again without hesitation.

  The cottage is exquisite and the owners have taken great care to create a luxury interior. The welcome hampers for us and our dog was a lovely touch. The views from inside the cottage and from the balcony towards Bamburgh Castle are wonderful. We all had a fabulous time and are looking forward to returning. The owner contacted us to see if we had settled in, which was lovely. He was friendly and helpful and gave us some advice on walks whilst we were there. Our short stay was perfection and the booking experience was very easy, lovely staff at Coquet Cottages. Thank you for a wonderful all round experience.

  Stayed for a week at the beautiful Farne View with its quirky ‘upside down’ layout. Mesmerising views of Bamburgh Castle and the Farne Islands. The accommodation itself was spotless, with fresh flowers and a thoughtful welcome hamper which was well received. Everything that we needed for a week long stay was provided in the cottage. We had a lovely restful week; enjoyed lovely long walks from Bamburgh beach to Budle Bay, a trip to the Farne Islands and tasted the kippers at Craster.What a fantastic break away, you must visit this area and stay at Farne View… you will not be disappointed.
