The house benefits from a very impressive-east-facing sun-trap garden, with a range of outdoor seating areas and gorgeous decking. There is private parking for two cars on the driveway, access to a Project EV ‘Pay as you go’ charging point (bring your own cable) and Fern House can welcome up to two small - medium size dogs too.
Acklington Village itself is very pretty and peaceful. There is a great little pub and restaurant called The Railway Inn just a few minutes' walk from your door. Morwick Ice Cream Parlour is a mile or so along winding country roads, and the medieval village of Warkworth with its impressive castle ruin towering over the main street can be reached in 5 minutes' by car.
Free Wi-Fi provided throughout as standard and 2 dogs are very welcome.

As we have come to expect with Coquet Cottages, Fern House was wonderful. The house was spotless and very well equipped. Everywhere was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. There was a lovely welcome hamper together with butter and milk in the fridge. The children were delighted that they had been thought of in the hamper contents. We were a family of 9 with 3 generations. We all slept very well in the comfy beds. The cinema room was certainly a bonus. The owner was great contacting us to check everything was ok. An altogether wonderful week in Northumberland made especially nice with Fern House as our comfortable base. Thank you.

When we opened the door we were blown away by this stunning property. Everything is to the highest standard & there is everything you could want & more. Fabulous décor & attention to detail is second to none. Lovely hamper to welcome us & calls from the owners to make sure we were OK. All rooms are spacious with high-quality bed linen/towels. It is a good location to explore Northumberland with fabulous places to eat close by. With an amazing well well-equipped kitchen to stay in. The cinema room on floor 3 was just perfect when the January wind/rain passed by. This property has the Wow factor!
