  My husband and I decided to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary at this place and we were happy with our decision 100%!

  We haven’t been away from kids and haven’t spent time just two of us for nine years. And wanted a secluded, quiet and romantic place with a hot tub and fire pit. We got all what we wanted and hosts were so welcoming and hospitable! We felt looked after and at the same time without any pressure or feeling that anyone is around. We enjoyed fire pit and got wood supply without any limit and we appreciated that this hut had everything one needs for a getaway like that. It was cosy, warm, sparkling clean and very comfortable everywhere. It has all a couple needs for a romantic stay! Bed sheets were fresh and crispy and plates, cutlery and cooking appliances were hug quality and it was nice to eat and drink using them. Hot tub was amazing! It gave us couple of hours of joy and pleasure sitting watching stars and enjoying silence and listening to music! Loved every minute there and I agree with other reviewers that this is a place to remember and keep coming back to. It’s definitely on our list to come back when we get another chance! Lovely place!   A wonderful and unexpected delight of the holiday, was a stay at Sycamore Lodge, in glorious countryside at Higher Dacre Farm, Porkellis.

  We had been touring Cornwall for many weeks, looking to buy a home in the County. Staying in different holiday homes each week, in various places for the purpose, we experienced many types of accommodation. Sycamore Lodge is our favourite. From the open and warm greeting of Meg upon arrival, to the generous treats awaiting us in the Lodge, we had a wonderful and relaxing time there. The freshly cut flowers, sumptious Cornish cream tea, lovely wine and Doggie treats were all so welcome and appreciated. The lodge is perfectly equiped with everything required for a comfortable stay and is spotlessly clean. The company of beautiful cows in the neighbouring field, cute rabbits everywhere, foxes, swallows and owls completed the picture. A tip for your stay there. Step outside the lodge after dark, to witness the most amazing views of the Stars above!

  A custom built chalet on Meg and Anthony’s farm.

  On arrival we were met by Meg who showed us round. We were greeted with a welcome pack including milk and treats for the dog. The property has been built, furnished and decorated to a high standard, it was spotlessly clean, comfortable, warm, very well equipped with plenty of towels and immaculate bed linen all of which were very good quality. The bed was very comfortable, the central heating and hot water were in our control and there is a log burner which was laid ready for lighting with plenty of fuel, if needed. Hosts were friendly and available if needed but were totally unobtrusive. Would highly recommend this holiday home!

  Orchard is such a wonderful place to stay!

  It is presented so nicely, and it's fully equipped, even down to the bath robes for the hop, skip and jump to the delightful hot hub! Outside is well equipped also, positioned right next to the glorious orchard, with views across the open fields. It was lovely to relax in the evening enjoying the tranquillity of the location and the warmth of the flames from the fire pit. Pete, the owner, was there to greet us too, it was so lovely to meet him, and he made us feel so welcome.....thank you Pete. We will most definitely be returning, and we have already recommended Orchard to our family and friends too. See you soon Pete :)

  We loved our stay at orchard!

  The hot tub was also very relaxing. The fridge broke a few days in through overheating, however it was on the hottest week of the year so its understandable. Plus the owners went out of their way to store our goods (holidays presents) in their fridge or an empty caravan fridge, which was very much appreciated. Only one niggle would be the bushes/trees could have done with a trim, allowing a bit more light and viewing out from the decking. If you're a city dweller and aren't used to driving rural roads be warned, they are tight! But so worth it :) We would love to go back!
