  This is the sectime we have stayed at MyraView this year and the third time on total.

  What a lovely place, away from it all but only 5 min8from the main road and about 10 minutes from Cartmel. The property is quirky . We love it. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped. A great coffee machine, it made excellent coffee but we couldn't work out how to get the attached milk frother to work. There is also plenty of tea towels, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and salt and pepper provided. Lots of towels in the bedrooms too. The beds are very comfy. The storage heaters taking a bit of getting used to, but soon sorted. Also thank you for the welcome gift package too. A simple walk if you don't want to drive is to cross the main road (A590) signposted Staveley and turn left, there are two easy safe walks to Newby Bridge. We highly recommend this lovely cottage.   We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Myra’s view.

  The cottage was down a little lane, secluded, peaceful; but a quick hop to main road where there’s a Budgens and a garage. Sheep roaming in the field behind, which was lovely. Room enough to park to cars in the front. Once inside the cottage we found the kitchen very well equipped, the lounge very comfy with tv. The bedrooms a good size with plenty of storage and the beds super comfy. Great shower in the Bathroom and plenty of towels. Separate utility room containing washing machine and tumble dryer. The cottage was warm and cosy and very welcoming, the owners have gone out of their way to make this little cottage a home from home! It was liberating not having WiFi for a week and to just enjoy our surroundings! I highly recommend Myra’s view!

  I had a partial refund for this booking due to the shower not working in the property.

  Looking at the feedback other people had left in the cottage, the shower issue and the fact the bath plug was faulty had been mentioned before and not been actioned so it was annoying to say the least. In addition the garden was unkempt , the grass hadn’t been cut and as a result we didn’t sit out in the garden which was a shame. As part of a welcome pack they include dishwater tablets but there is no dishwasher ?! This has also been mentioned previously. The front door lock/ key is really stiff to open and therefore could be a risk if there was a fire. This has also I believe been mentioned before. The cottage is lovely but it is these things that let it down.

  We loved our stay at The Byre.

  The location was nice and quiet and not too far away from the main Lakes by car. The cottage had everything we needed and more. It was warm, cosy and inviting. I had the best night sleep on the comfy bed and loved waking up to the views over the fell. The welcome goodies left in the fridge were a lovely touch too. The enclosed patio garden was a plus for us with 2 dogs. Lovely to be able to let them out the back door knowing they would be safe. Plenty of information guides etc left in the lounge to help us decide where to go, as well as information on local attractions. Such a relaxing break. We will return again!

  My only criticism is the bed pillows which were lumpy and uncomfortable.

  We had an amazing short stay at this wonderful cottage 13th - 16th September.The welcome pack of cake & wine was lovely and we were surprised at the amount of logs that were left as a starter pack. Cottage was clean and warm with all amenities available We absolutely loved the summer house and garden and spent most of our time outdoors. Our pooch settled as soon as we arrived at the cottage which was a good indication that we also were going to enjoy our break. A doggie basket with toys, towels and water bowl was all set up in the kitchen. One of the most comfortable cottages we have stayed in.
