What our customers say about their holidays
Diane - Verified booking
The cottage was cosy and so well equipped, whilst I read about the good welcome packs I was not expecting what was in them!
For future reference for anyone going to stay, the human one contained bread, milk (four pints), one mini bottle each of white, rose and red wine, cakes, biscuits, ground coffee and eggs! The tea, coffee and sugar canisters were all filled up too. The canine one contained two bowls, poo bags, towel and a full jar of biscuits! Never stayed anywhere that was so generous! Was a nice warm cottage with wood burner too of which there was coal and wood to use. Good walks from the cottage which was great so at least Zak had a good one first thing so whatever we did for the rest of the day we knew he was ok should another not be forthcoming, this was only the case on one day. You need to be on the lookout for sheep though, the stone walls made good barriers but every now and then sheep would appear where they hadn't been the day before and you would realise there were no walls or water in between. Two good pubs minutes away, we ate in both, Maypole and Boars Head which we ate in twice, good food, generous portions. Plenty to do in the area, Ingleton Falls and Bolton Abbey we particularly enjoyed, Zak has never been so well walked! All in all a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and Storm Gareth did not interfere too much! Days planned around the weather and we found plenty to do. Would recommend this cottage and the area.

What a lovely cottage in a great location.
Croft Cottage was wonderfully well equipped with everything you could need. It had a real âhome from homeâ feel about it and the dogs clearly felt at home. Nice welcome packs too and tea, coffee, sugar canisters filled. Also toilet rolls, kitchen roll, cleaning products all there. Beds were extremely comfortable, everything worked as it should with lots of nice little touches in the house. Well situated for the 3 Peaks which we did over 3 days with the dogs - was the hottest week of the year! Malham Cove also worth a visit. Loved the market town of Settle and driving through the Dales. Long Preston itself was a nice little village - 2 pubs which let dogs in - in fact nearly all the pubs around that area are dog-friendly. People very nice too. A fantastic little cottage - an all round fab holiday. Just one thing to bear in mind the A65 which runs through the village can be very busy and the traffic noise was noticeable but probably just because we arenât used to it.

Property was as described.
Kitchen was well equipped with everything working and in good order. Lounge was comfortable and the tv had Freeview which is always useful to have. The bed in the main bedroom was super comfortable and there was plenty of space for clothes storage. Shower in the bathroom was easy to operate and nice and hot. We have 2 dogs, so it was good that the back garden area was fenced off (though bigger dogs might be able to leap over it). There are 2 parking spaces and once we arrived we didnât use the car until we went home, as the rail station is about 3 minutes walk away, and there are buses in the village centre about a 4 minute walk away. The owner left us a small basket which included wine, bread, milk, cake, shortbread and treats for the dogs ! We would definitely stay there again.

Our stay at Croft cottage was amazing.
The welcome packs for us and the dogs were very much appreciated by us all.The cottage is equipped with everything you will need to ensure your holiday goes swimmingly and is full of your creature comforts. The outdoor seating area and enclosed garden suited us perfectly and parking for two cars is more than enough.Jaqui welcomed us to her property and ran through everything to make our stay so pleasureable.Skipton and Settle are only a short drive away and our walk around the castles woods was fun for us all and any shopping needs were easily met at Morrisons just outside of Skipton. We would to come back and cant wait to see more of this beautiful countryside.

Our original booking was cancelled due to COVID-19 and we arrived instead for August Bank holiday week.
Easy to find and gain access to the property. Jacque had left 2 welcome hampers, one for us and one for our yellow Labrador, so thank you very much for these they were great to receive. The cottage had everything you could want for a weeks holiday and we didnât need to buy anything like washing up liquid etc as they were already there so that was fab. We visited many places while staying there and enjoyed Aysgarth and Ingleton waterfalls, Bolton Abbey, Fountains Abbey, Settle and Skipton. We ate one day at Beck Hall, Secret Garden in Malham Cove and thought it was a lovely setting. Many thanks again.
