What our customers say about their holidays

Stayed for Christmas 2023. 2 families. A beautiful house in a beautiful area and location - really ‘oldy woldy’ and a lovely feel. Has everything we needed although a few niggles / things to suggest they are mentioned on the advert as below: - we were under the impression the picture of the front of the house was the property we had rented - not the side door entrance being our main one. - we were not told that it was 2 properties within one, or if so this was not made clear at all - privacy; after arriving and realising our entrance was the side door and the main picture of the front of the house was not ours, when sitting in the lounge we had numerous people walking past the windows whilst sitting there which felt very uncomfortable and not very private. - the hot tub was great and we loved it! But it had been moved from the photos and wasn’t on the patio. It was on the grass opposite and meant getting down the steps onto the grass with wet feet making it muddy feet. If it’s going this side it needs a mat or something rather than stepping directly onto grass Other than some of these things to suggest mentioning on the add we had a really lovely stay, great take away from carols plaice. Lovey touch with a welcome prosecco and Yule log - much appreciated. The property is gorgeous and even though the church bells rung a lot we got used to it and didn’t bother us after a while. Thanks again and happy new year :0)

Property surpassed our expectations. Beautifully presented and in the most idyllic situation. Great inventory as nothing I re-call we felt short of. On arriving just the absolute WOW factor. We came during a particularly cold spell but the house always felt warm, cosy and inviting. Although overall cleanliness was exceptional just a couple of minor things to point out although they did not in any way upset us or impact on our stay. There was a packet of mini cheddars behind the radiator in the snooker room and a balloon under the bed in the master suite. Only slight niggle was that there where guests in the other half of the house who had parked inconsiderately and had two vehicles parked bumper to bumper right across our front door which made it a little awkward for us coming in and out of the property. On seeing them we politely mentioned this to them and they moved the cars only for them to be returned the following day. Also although well within their remit to do so they used both front and rear access of their side of the property so crossed in front of our lounge window and our kitchen window which impacted on our privacy. Not your fault but i thought they may have shown some consideration for us as their neighbours.

Wonderful house with all amenities provided.
Four really good size (and quirky) bedrooms, all with good sized TVâs. Two large sitting rooms, first and second floor with large TVâs. Very large family bathroom with roll top bath and good shower on third floor, roll top bath on fourth floor with sink a toilet. Downstairs cloakroom. Extremely large kitchen with everything you need provided, including bottle of milk, butter and six eggs. Well maintained hot tub. All together a really lovely stay, being close to the train station and shops. My only negative comment would be that the small garden and furniture need some TLC. Parking wasnât too bad as managed to get both cars parked up outside, with the scratch cards in the window, for the duration of our stay. There is a park at the top of Newton Street where you can take your furry friends for a walk but it is very steep and dogs must be on a lead. The other park, where dogs are not allowed, is absolutely stunning and worth a walk round. All together a really lovely stay and highly recommended. Great communication with the owners too.

We were a party of 6 plus a three year old and we then had visitors during the week.
Trillo is perfectly placed for everything Whitby and has the benefit of a garden and hot tub which is very rare in Whitby. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms beautiful and the welcome pack much appreciated. Iâd also like to thank Izzy and Edwin for their super fast responses to correspondence and for posting my dress back when Iâd stupidly left it there and they are incredibly friendly and approachable. The kitchen would benefit from a mop with which Iâd have been able to clean the floor during our stay. We will definitely stay here again and loved every minute!! Thank you

We thought the house was amazing and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Hot tub was a huge hit with both adults and children. Beds very comfy. Rooms spacious so plenty of opportunities to get together and socialise but equally enough space to have a bit of time to yourself. Improvements : vacuum cleaner doesnât pick up and no broom or mop for kitchen floor. No wooden spoons or serving spoons. Better instructions on where to park. Loved the grocery welcome pack and the fresh flowers a nice touch. All in all a great house would recommend as long as you are ok with stairs - they deffo helped burn off the extra calories consumed over the weekend!
