  When you enter Feathered Nest the spacious hallway with beautiful staircase is amazing. The whole cottage has a warm and welcoming feel, with all bedrooms offering modern ensuites (all with underfloor heating!), and the views throughout are fabulous. The décor is second to none, and everything you could possibly want or need for a restful stay is available. The boot room gives ample space to leave wet coats and muddy boots, and the kitchen is equipped with the most up to date appliances. Our teenage girls loved the coffee machine and were totally spoilt with hot chocolate! The log burner was also a winner, especially during the cold snowy evenings. There is no doubt we will be returning to this fantastic cottage in the very near future. Thank you for having us :)

  Fabulous cottage, very high spec and the attention to detail means that everything has been thought of from the well equipped kitchen to the toiletries in the bathrooms. Lovely cosy and warm house and although there were a plentiful supply of logs we didn't need them. A gorgeous welcome box awaits you with lovely local products and a homemade delicious cake. We had a lovely warm welcome from Claire who was very helpful and kept us updated about local conditions during the recent wet and snowy weather. The hob was a challenge to use but it turned out to be operator error! The gardens are very nice and well equipped with BBQ and hot tub although we didn't use them because of the weather. A quality property - highly recommended

  This is without doubt the best house that I’ve ever booked for a holiday. Not only is the house beautiful and very well decorated, but it has everything in it to make your stay as comfortable as staying in a 5 star hotel. I must mention the host who went above all expectations by organising pumpkins in the house ready for the kids to carve as well as treating us to a lovely hamper of local goods. I will be returning! I have no choice since my wife has fallen in love with the house as well as the kids, and this should give me bonus points for at least 6 months!! I wanted a relaxing holiday and this house put a big tick in that box. Thanks Clare for a lovely stay

  Dear Clare & family, Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful part of the world with us. We have had the best time in your lovely home. The attention to detail, styling, furnishings and luxury level of comfort have made our stay 6 star! We couldn't fault the place is it the best holiday home we have ever stayed in and it truly will be a Christmas to remember. We will definately be back. Thank you for the beautiful welcome hamper, sorry we couldn't eat/drink it all. We all got a little carried away at Campbells and have left you some things in the cupboard, fridge and freezer we hope you will be able to use. Enjoy the Gin and the chocolates. Lots of love

  This really is a wonderful cottage that has everything you could possibly need and I’m sure if there was anything that you needed Clare would be on hand to help you out. The cottage is spotlessly clean and every attention to detail is taken care of including a great selection of goodies and a delicious cake on arrival. The location is great with so much to see and do only a short drive away, there’s also a good selection of places to eat and drink in the area but you may find it difficult to prise yourself away from the great kitchen that the cottage has. We’ve stayed in a few places in the area and Feathered Nest is up there with the best of them.
