What our customers say about their holidays
Clare - Verified booking
The apartment was well equipped and clean, very nice decor.
A good location for getting about. But sadly the photos had made the garden look much larger than it is, and itâs very overlooked - itâs in a holiday park which isnât clear in the description in my view and they are crammed in. So eating outside meant looking at cars, or other houses. Itâs just about ok for 6 people in terms of space but itâs not huge. The garden isnât fenced in fully so dogs canât be left outside. Sykes didnât really listen when I said the photos are fish eye lens and donât represent whatâs really here, I was a bit frustrated. That said, itâs a nice place, we had a nice time, itâs very well equipped, very comfortable, but Iâd review the photos so expectations arenât raised - especially the garden. Iâd have given a more positive review if I knew what I was getting - but wouldnât have been my choice as I like more internal space, garden space and nice views.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage with our young children and dog.
Compared to other cottages we have stayed in, it was very clean. The bedrooms have a comfortable feel and the upstairs master bedroom is lovely. The cottage is well equipped and has everything one would need for a week to relax. The kitchen has everything needed and there is enough space downstairs for a family of 5. There is a baby gate and high chair available if needed. The holiday park the cottage is in is very quiet and there in no light pollution and the night sky is just spectacular. It is important to note that the garden is not fenced in if you're coming with pets. There are many lovely beaches nearby, although each is about a 30 minute drive. A fantastic soft play / farm day out for the kids on a rainy day is only about 15 minutes away. One thing worth mentioning in terms of maintenance is that the upstairs towel radiator in the bathroom is very lose.

The cottage is lovely however I donât feel itâs big enough for 6 people, the kitchen isnât big enough to cook for 6 people nor is the table for everyone to eat together, we had to eat in shifts and we are all slim people.
I noted we had a toddler yet the cot was not made up and there was no linen, blanket or pillow for her. We could not park 2 cars 1 behind the other without getting in the way of the other lodges which was frustrating. I am 5â7 my husband 6â2 we could not use the shower upstairs so all 4 adults were using 1 bathroom. My husband couldnât use the upstairs bathroom without hitting his head. I know this is due to the design of the lodge but I feel itâs worth noting as we look for 2 bathrooms as we travelled with parents and itâs important to us to have space for us all. These are not meant as a negative view however if I had been aware I probably wouldnât have booked and therefore not been disappointed with the stay. Iâd say a family of 4, or 2 adults 2/3 children this lodge would feel OK. Location was good close to all the places we enjoy visiting.

Cabin whilst well equipped was a lot smaller than it appeared in the pictures on the listing.
There was no antenna signal for the television had we not had our own amazon fire stick with us there would have been little to entertain the children in the evenings. We did call the number of the cleaner and leave a message about the tv problem but did not receive a response. Whilst pets are allowed we found it not to be dog friendly as perimeter of the cabin is not secure and there was barb wire at the back over the bank leading down to the stream. Having two small dogs with us it was impossible to relax as there was no contained area and they often ended up wandering into the garden next door. Overall space was tight in the cabin for 6 people. Also all the cabins are very close to each other in proximity so you did feel uninvited guests at your neighbours BBQ

Cosy little ground floor property.
Good access as an amputee. Large living room and well equipped kitchen. Bathroom with overhead shower and bath. Two good sized bedrooms and comfortable beds. Spectacular views from windows overlooking fields with sheep and cattle grazing. Loads of piping hot water and washing machine and tumble dryer. Local shop is a ten minute walk and stocks almost anything you may need, pub nearby but didn't use that one much as access was difficult for me but found the Old Wainhouse Inn about four miles away, did fantastic food and very friendly staff. Host Sue was there to greet us on arrival and answered a couple of queries during our stay promptly. Was a carton of milk left for us when we arrived, much appreciated although we did bring our own.
