This luxury bespoke built cabin offers the perfect romantic hideaway overlooking magnificent Blencathra, and down towards St John's in the Vale. It is on a working farm with direct access to the Threlkeld to Keswick old railway line, a 3-mile-long footpath and cycleway. Located where two rivers meet, enjoy a paddle, wild swimming, or canoe, step out of your accommodation and into the clear river water at St Johns Beck. From your door, there are many miles of walking and cycling trails to discover as well as hills, fells and mountains to climb. Derwentwater and Keswick are both within 4 miles, board one of the launches and cruise from jetty to jetty, hopping on and off for a picnic, waterfall walk or spot of afternoon tea.
As you walk up to this wooden cabin on this intimate family-run retreat, the setting is simply breathtaking whatever the weather! You can’t help but feel the love that has gone into building this cabin, every little detail has been thought out. The open-plan bedroom with a king-size bed sits in the large picture window with bi-folding doors. This well-designed cabin has made the most of the space to ensure the views and location are maximised. There is a breakfast bar tucked behind the bed; you can sit here in the morning while still enjoying the view and have a coffee while making plans for the day ahead. The wet room is located at the back of the accommodation and has a feature slate wall and rainfall shower. There is a small kitchen area which is ideal to prepare breakfast or a light bite, but on a nice evening, the BBQ is a great option.
Step down from the cabin out onto your private patio with seating, BBQ/fire pit and a wood-fired hot tub. A fantastic place to sit quietly in the evening and admire your surroundings.

The location was absolutely breath-taking! The accommodation was well equipped, clean and cosy...just perfect for our weekend away! Our host was able to point us in the direction of a lovely pub for either just a coffee or meals in the local village. She was very knowledgeable of local walks straight from the accommodation! If we needed anything she would immediately message me back and was very friendly. There were some really lovely touch's waiting at the accommodation on arrival! Amazing stay

A beautiful little lodge in a beautiful location. We could not have asked for more. The lodge was immaculately clean with high quality accessories such as towels and bedding. The lovely little touches of wine and cookies on arrival gave a very warm welcome. A lovely relaxing break which was very much needed.

The cottage was lovely. Nicely decorated and clean. It had all the utensils etc you need. The bed was comfortable and it was warm enough by the second night. I have been put off going somewhere with a wood fired hot tub forever though. It looks lovely and it was lovely to sit in only after 5 hours of having to reload logs and stir the water in minus degrees every 20 minutes. I would recommend it to a friend but would warn about the hot tub difficulties.
