Apple Tree cottage is set right in the heart of Westleton. 200 yard walk across the green to the White Horse. Great food and a proper local. About the same distance to the Westleton Crown..very good Sunday lunch. The cottage is a 5 minute drive to Dunwhich Beach…there is a bridal path across Westleton Heath but some of the walk is on the road (not too busy but quite narrow). The cottage is small but very comfortable and well equipped. It has a beautiful secure rear garden and was a great base to visit Sutton Hoo, Framlingham and Southwold. Lovely village lovely cottage great location.

Beautiful cosy property, which was well equipped with everything we needed, Loved the local goodies in the welcome basket, great map with all the main Suffolk attractions ... the beekeepers' chocolates were to die for!!! Lovely morning/ evening walks with the dog around the river. Only one criticism - check out time could have been a little later! We found it difficult to walk the dog, breakfast and check out by 9am! Otherwise, it was a perfect stay, and we will defiantly be returning. :)

Rigid time limits with no reply service unless emergency of letting agent Incessant same texts on day in and day out from letting agents regarding said times - once is enough. However the owners of the property were lovely and very accommodating and actually let us stay later on the Monday despite letting agent insisting on 9am leaving which is far too early. 4pm is also very late to check in. It does not take 7 hours to clean a property!

At the end of a long and narrow driveway one suddenly arrives at an enchanted garden ... friendly owners will show you around the ponds and garden, including the chicken coops and large veggie garden (by the way, the eggs were just yummy!). Enjoying a late afternoon aperitif on the deck next to the pond, with the swans in the distance, is just magical. We will definitely return as the place is also ideally located to discover the broader AONB of the Suffolk Coast & Heath ... Orford, Woodbridge ... worst many returns!

Fantastic location, great secure garden, lounge and bedrooms very comfortable. Our main issue was the general dustiness of the property (TV cabinet and DVD player covered in thick layer of dust), dust and fluff around the floor spaces, and kitchen utensils and cups requiring a good wash before use. The cooking equipment was very dated, especially the frying pans which made cooking a little more challenging than it should be. Not ideal but the location of the property ensured we had a good holiday.
