This is a lovely little cottage, ideal for 2 people and overlooks the harbour. The cottage provided us with everything we needed. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a washing machine if needed. The back courtyard is private and a nice place to sit on an evening. The town and harbour is about 10 minute walk down a steep hill, but there is a bus that runs from the leisure centre which is about 100m from the front door. The buses leave and return every 10 minutes or so, so its easy for the less mobile to get to the harbour and beach. We had a few issues with parking as the space does not allow room for a larger car and I believe the cottage description has been amended to reflect this. We bought a weekly ticket for the leisure centre car park instead. Parking in st Ives is difficult unless your're there very early, so I would recommend using the bus as opposed to trying to drive through the extremely busy town. Overall we had a fab holiday, using Farr cottage as a base.

It's equipped with almost anything you may wish, and even more, and of a very high standard. We took my parents (who are visiting us from abroad for a short time) to Cornwall for the weekend, and we all very much enjoyed our trip (even the weather cooperated on the Saturday, being all lovely and sunny despite the forecast predicting storms and rain). One of the highlights of our trip was Merrilee; parents particularly loved it. We only wish we could have stayed longer, and will definitely go back if we are in that part of the country again. Thank you very much Sue for our fantastic stay.

You will have a wonderful stay in this beautiful cottage. It really does have EVERYTHING you need for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Great that children are thought of too with the stair gate, high chair and cot bed if needed. Clean and tidy throughout the cottage with lots of little extras. If you prefer to stay in and cook the cottage has a fully fitted kitchen - oven, hob, microwave, washer/dryer and all utensils that you could possibly need. Tea and coffee facilities also. Bedrooms are bright, airy and spacious with plenty of pillows etc for a comfy nights sleep. No expense has been spared on this cottage. Would definitely recommend the cottage and will stay again in the future for sure!!

The cream tea waiting for us was a lovely thought and there were lots of little extras left for us to use. A lot of love and thought has gone into the property. The hot tub was so lovely after a day walking and very private. The apartment was very comfortable and very well decorated. The only problem we had was with parking. With a small car it would be fine but ours didnât fit in the car park very easily. There are also not enough spaces for everyone. To go again we would need to take into consideration the cost of parking in the long stay car park for a week We loved our stay in Driftwood and would definitely go again with consideration to parking charges.

The property was spotless, well kept, beautifully decorated & in a great location. The hot tub was amazing and well needed after all the walking we did! Location is great, parking in a long stay over the road if no spaces outside property available, price not too bad for 24hrs (£12.50) The listing does state dishwasher but there isnât one. Not a problem for us as a couple but does need to be taken off facility listing. The owner made us feel so welcome, she had left a little welcome cream tea package, which was delicious. So many little personal touches really made us feel at home & welcome. I would highly recommend this property for a short of long stay!
