  It's not often that we find our expectations surpassed in a holiday cottage, but this time we did! Thank you very much, it was fabulous. It's even better than the pictures, really clean and very well equipped. The kitchen has plenty of crockery, glasses, cutlery and pans. The bedding is good quality as are the towels and bathroom fittings. There are plenty of games and also guidebooks with local walks. We visited in February and the weather was challenging on a couple of days but the cottage was warm and cosy and the woodburner was great. In good weather, the outside area would be fab, with views over the village & the Aire valley. We'll definitely try and book again when we're next in Yorkshire

  We had a fantastic week at Knotts Rest and the facilities and location were great.

  The cottage was presented to a very high standard and everything you could need had been thought of. The bedroom and bathroom were designed to a very high standard and you have plenty of room to relax and rest upstairs. The views from the windows whilst sitting in bed were very nice as well. The cottage does have a washing machine, but we hadn’t noticed this in the details, as the description was at the top of the page rather than at the bottom where you generally find all of the facilities listed. Would definitely recommend this cottage as a location and hope to be back again soon.

  This was one of the very best holiday cottages I have stayed in.

  The property was thoroughly clean, the kitchen incredibly well stocked with equipment, utensils, crockery etc and beautifully decorated for Christmas. We had an amazing three night break and the house offered the perfect space for 2 kids to have space to play (PS4!) and adults to socialise in the wonderful kitchen-diner. Very minor suggestion - tricky to manoeuvre round small front door area with wet/muddy boots - access to the rear via the decking, if available, might be useful - there appears to be access but we were not sure if the side area belonged to the house or not.

  We and our French visitors were generally very pleased with our choice of the cottage at Ivy Terrace. An excellent location for exploring town and countryside. The interior finishes, bathrooms and garden were all of a high standard. Our only slight disappointment was with the self-catering equipment which was short of a few useful items, for example some decent kitchen knives, breakfast bowls, a fruit bowl, a tray (for transporting drinks etc up the steps to the gazebo) some extra dinner plates to allow entertainment of some local friends

  Valley View describes the property very well - what a gorgeous view from the large, light-filled windows at the front of this very handsome and comfortable home right in the centre of the lovely village of Kettlewell.

  It was the perfect base for enjoying the stunning beauty of the Yorkshire Dales with friends and family. Morning coffee and evening drinks on the deck overlooking the stream at the back of the house were the perfect bookends to the day. Not only was everything we needed provided for, but all the furnishings and fittings were - like the house itself - quality. The very comfortable beds and the sound of the gurgling stream made for very relaxing and peaceful sleep. A huge thank you to our hosts, and we hope to visit again before long!
